Understanding the Costs
Our Project managers come with a range of expertise and experience, and our fees typically vary based on the scope and scale of your project and in an effort to provide transparency and clarity we have broken down the pricing structure into tiers. but it is important to note that each project is different and that these prices may depending on the project scope, location and the overall size of the space of the project. With that being said The below prices are a good starting point, so let's explore the tiered approach offered by The Independent Group:
Tier 1: Total contracted works from $0 to $2,000
- Upfront fee of $250
Tier 2: Total contracted works from $2,001 to $5,000
- Upfront fee of $250
- Plus 7% of the total works value.
Tier 3: Total contracted works from $5,001 to $10,000
- Upfront fee of $500
- Plus 5% of the total works value.
Tier 4: Total contracted works from $10,001 to $20,000
- Upfront fee of $1000
- Plus 3% of the total works value.
Tier 5: Total contracted works from $20,001 to $50,000
- Upfront fee of $1600
- Plus 2.5% of the total works value.
Tier 6: Total contracted works above $50,000
- Upfront fee of $2850
- Plus 2% of the total works value.
Example:
Let's consider a scenario where you want to renovate your existing outdoor spaces to make the most of them for summer. The project involves replacing the old back deck, retiling the existing outdoor verandas, relocating large air conditioning units, painting the alfresco area, and installing a new outdoor BBQ area with sinks and refrigeration. The total cost of these works comes to $20,215.85 (without project management fees), placing them in Tier 5 (as listed Above)
So we would price the project management fee as:
$1600inc as an initial upfront fee and then 2.5% of the total value of the works.
2.5% of $20,215.85 = $505.39
$505.39 + $1600 = $2105.39
Total Project Management fee of $2105.39
